Orchard Park is one of our developments just north of Markham in the quaint town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. We love going to visit Orchard Park because it’s like our own little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Stouffville is just a short drive away and super accessible by the 404, 407 and public transportation.
Here’s a few things that you can do in Stouffville:

Who doesn’t love mini-golfing?! The Timber Creek Golf facility not only boasts an impressive 37 holes of adventure miniature golf but it also has batting cages, an extensive driving range for the more trained golf pros and other fun amenities. There’s also an air-conditioned club house for you to lounge around in if golfing isn’t your forte.
It’s a perfect day trip for you and your family and utterly beautiful – think rushing waterfalls and a picture-perfect landscape.
What better way to get fit than in the great outdoors under the sun and amidst a beautiful landscape? Nature lovers love Stouffville because it is home to the largest Green Belt area in the GTA.
Try the Stouffville Town Trail that starts right south of Main Street Stoufville (not far from Orchard Park!) and makes its way north through Memorial Park. Definitely scenic and you’ll have the chance to see plenty of wildlife and birds!

Looking to pick apples and strawberries? Applewood Farm was one of the first farms in the area to offer strawberry and apple picking almost 30 years ago. City slickers enjoy leaving the city and coming to the country to spend a few hours at the farm.
Applewood Farm is a favourite among locals in Souffville because of the winery that they added just over a decade ago in the fall of 2000. They have a wonderful selection of tasty fruit wines made by the very same fruits that can be found on the farm grounds.
Spring begins with strawberry picking in mid-June to mid-July and apple season starts in September.
In 1979 a group of talented local artists decided to create a space for others to value and enjoy art. After a generous donation from local philantropist Arthur Latcham, the Latcham Gallery opened its doors. To this day, visitors can walk in and browse the displayed contemporary art. If you’re a local artist yourself or just someone who values art, then definitely sign up for a class or pay the Gallery a visit!
Interested in a little blast from the past? The Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum and Community Centre covers 2 acres and includes 5 historic buildings, research facilities and two exhibit halls. There’s always some sort of event or program being held there so give them a shout if you’re interested.
