The two share some great insights on the community and tell us what it’s like working in and meeting people from the King West neighbourhood.
Tell us a bit about yourselves!
M.F: I’ve been selling real estate for 10 years now. I love the opportunities we get to meet so many different families & individuals and help them find their dream homes. It’s such a happy time in people’s lives when they are purchasing a new home & I’m glad that we get to be a part of that.
D.D : I have been selling real estate for over 10 years as well. I started in BC in 2004 and moved back to Toronto in 2008 to start selling the Toronto market. I’m a travel junkie and love meeting all the diverse people that make Toronto home.
What is your favorite thing about this project?
M.F: Location, location, location! Being just a short walk away to the heart of King West, you’re just steps away from all the action. You truly have everything at your doorstep. Also, the design of the building is amazing, it’s so unique. I love the modern take on the warehouse heritage buildings of the neighborhood. This building will really change the look & feel of the area. Plus, another huge feature of this development is the ground floor retail component. We are likely going to have a large grocery store right below the suites. You really can’t beat that as far as convenience goes!
D.D: Location for sure! This is a hot neighborhood with a constant buzz of activity. TIFF is always a blast, all of the restaurants and night clubs make it a destination spot. I also love the fact that you can sneak away to New York or Montreal from Porter Airport which is 5 minutes away. Summertime will be great at this building. It’s a short walk to the Rogers Center and all Toronto has to offer- Let’s go Jays!
Do you have a favorite suite at Westside?
M.F: My favorite suite is the 887 layout (2 Bedroom + Den). Being on the south-west corner of Front of Bathurst, you get a great panoramic view overlooking the Fort York historical site with city & lake views (on the higher floors) as well. It’s a great layout overall with a spacious open concept kitchen/living/dining area that is great for entertaining.
D.D: I love all of the suites with large terraces- they are great for entertaining! The west facing 825- 2 Bed + Den has an amazing open concept with a built in island to cook up a storm and serve your guests. The 2nd bedroom has an option to make the 2nd bath a semi- ensuite. Two great balconies to watch the sunsets.
Who is buying at Minto Westside?
M.F: It’s been quite a mix of purchasers, which is very interesting. We’ve had everything from first-time home buyers (young professionals), to people/families already living in the area looking to up-size to a larger suite, to older empty nesters downsizing from suburban homes and looking for a more urban lifestyle. It’s going to make for a very diverse community which will be great!
D.D: Agreed- not much to add to that! The building has such great amenities and a wide range of suite sizes that there seems to be something to suit everyone.
How do you guys work as a team to create great experiences for your clients?
M.F: Danielle is awesome to work with! She brings such a great positive energy to work every day. We always strive to provide great customer service to everyone that visits our Sales Centre. As the traffic in here can often get quite busy, we work together to ensure that everyone gets their questions answered and receives all the details of the development so that they are able to make an informed decision.
D.D: Marco is the best! He is a true professional that knows everything there is to know about downtown condos and he always makes sure there is great music playing to keep our office fun! We are a great team that works so well together, making sure all of our guests get the informed answers they are looking for. We strive to respond quickly to all inquiries. Things move fast around here so we have to stay on top of it. Our administrator, Sofia, keeps it all organized and efficient.
What building amenity are you most excited about?
M.F: I’m a bit of a gym freak so the approx. 3,000 sq ft ‘Movement Haus’ fitness centre is definitely my favorite amenity. It will feature a variety of state of the art equipment and best of all; it will be open 24/7 which is quite rare for a condo gym!
D.D: Without a doubt The Plunge Social and Rooftop Pool! Lounging on the sun-tanning chairs in the reflecting pool with some of my best girlfriends before heading out to explore the trendy King West neighborhood on a Saturday night sounds like a great plan!
